Goodbye my friend and mommy....

It is with great sadness that we announce that Maureen Zopf (nee McGuigan), passed away on January 8, 2007, at the early age of 59, after a brave 2 year battle with illness. Maureen will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Hal, sons Rob (Tracy) and Stephen, grandchildren Dylan, Cameron and Robyn, brothers Mike (Diane), Paul (Marie), Dan (Karla) and Mark, sister Kathy (Rodger), and brother-in-law Claire (Anna). As well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends especially her long time friend Linda (Lew). Special thanks to Dr. Webster, Sandy and Yasmine at Royal Columbian ICU for their wonderful care during her final moments. Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Walnut Grove on Friday January 12 at 11am. Any flowers please send to Hal Zopf and any donations can be made in her name to the Renal Clinic at Royal Columbian where they took such great care of Maureen over the past year.
This was my mom's Obituary in todays Vancouver Sun. She was a great wife, mother, sister, friend and grand mother. Anyone who knew her will agree. She loved family, especially Rob's kids and was an avid camper. Mom loved the outdoors and camping, and really loved the following: Ice, mints, bridge, poker, christmas, mystery books (read one a day), online bridge, cooking, family gatherings, and countless other things. I love you mommy and will miss you every day. Your pain is now gone which is a blessing but it still hurts to let you go. Man am I going to miss you. There is a huge hole in my life now that will never go away. You went to early, before your time. Love you. Your son Stephen
