China here I come!!!!! March 1-26

Well the time has come for me to leave Canada and go to CHINA!!!! I'm leaving on thursday morning to Shanghai, an Air Canada direct flight from Vancouver. I'm meeting Justin at the airport and we will be staying in Shanghai for a few days where we will endulge in rice liquor and great food!

The Chinese government blocks websites such as myspace and blogger, so I won't be able to post any "play-by-play" of my trip. I will try to send emails and if I can, post a few photos on my flickr account. I know I will be making it too the major sites of Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Xi'an, and Justin and I are planning to explore in depth Yunnan and Sichuan provinces, mainly Kunming, Lijing, Dali and Chongqing. But details of exactly when and where are not solid as Justin's school schedule is not known at this time.

I am very excited to be going and I can't wait. I will be offline for the entire month of March and starting tonight I'm going to switch to Chinese time, which is 16 hours ahead. So 11am here is 3am there.

As soon as I get back, the mining exploration camps start up, and I will be working in the Vancouver office for the first week or 2 in April, then I will going to a camp. Not too sure yet which one, either Anyox or Corey...who knows, maybe both! I will be up in Kamloops for 1 night or 2 after I come back from China, but again, dates and times are up in the air, until I return and see what is happening with the camps.
